Four Dogs Have Died After Being Groomed At PetSmart – Here’s What Pet Owners Need To Know

When a dog owner drops their beloved pet off at a groomer, they should feel comfortable those caring for their animal are competent and capable. They shouldn’t have to worry whether their dog will survive the visit. Unfortunately for the dog owners in this story, they experienced the unthinkable. Studies have proven humans feel more empathy and compassion for animals than they do for their fellow human beings. An alarming story has emerged in the press recently about the popular chain, PetSmart that has put many pet owners on high alert. According to Today, PetSmart has faced animal mistreatment allegations after four pets died during grooming appointments while in the store’s custody. Over 100 Dogs And Were Rescued From Michigan Democrat’s Shuttered Company

Shri Thanedar owned a New Jersey lab where the animals were used in tests. About 170 dogs and monkeys were rescued in 2010 from an abandoned pharmaceutical testing lab owned by Shri Thanedar, a Michigan Democratic gubernatorial candidate currently leading in the polls. Thanedar had to shutter the New Jersey testing facility, AniClin Preclinical Services, after its parent company, Azopharma, which he owned, went bankrupt in April 2010. Local animal rights activists learned in June of that year that 118 beagles were still stuck inside the facility. The lab’s workers had been jumping the lab’s fences to provide food and water for the dogs, according to a USA Today report . A Woman Was Dragged Off A Flight After She Wanted Two Dogs Removed Because She Said She Has Allergies

A woman was dragged off a Southwest Airlines flight on Tuesday after she demanded that two dogs be removed from the flight because of her “life-threatening pet allergy,” the airline said. In a statement provided to BuzzFeed News, Southwest said that there were two dogs onboard the Baltimore flight to Los Angeles on Tuesday night. One of the dogs was an emotional support animal and the other was a pet. The woman reportedly stated that she had a life-threatening pet allergy but was unable to provide the medical certificate necessary to complete travel, according to Southwest. “Our policy states that a Customer (without a medical certificate) may be denied boarding if they report a life-threatening allergic reaction and cannot travel safely with an animal onboard,” the airline’s statement said.
